- An irregular heartbeat can never happen at a good time for anyone, but particularly not right now for Eddy Curry.  Before missing the Bulls close win at Charlotte on Wednesday, Curry had scored 27 points and 25 points in his previous two games.  He has become the Bulls leading scorer at 16.1 ppg and will now fetch double what he would have before the season began.

Curry is a guy John Paxson was rumored to be trying to deal back in November and December and he now is an untouchable Bull, but his heart will closely be monitored over the next few months for both medical and financial reasons.

Here?s hoping he?s healthy and that he signs a big contract this summer.

- If the ROY race wasn?t over before, it is now.  Ben Gordon in a Fleetwood Mac Landslide.

- The Pacers had another amazing night on Thursday, with Stephen Jackson?s game-tying shot with just 0.2 seconds left sent the game into overtime, where Indiana was not to be denied.

The Heat are lucky that the Pacers are not going to be the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs, since they have gone zero for their last twelve games against Indiana, though a first round sweep is most likely for the Heat, regardless of who they play?so long as it is not the Bobcats.

- Watching Chris Webber on Wednesday in Phoenix was both scary and sad.  Anytime he is hit, he anticipates his knee to spontaneously bust.  Webber should think long and hard about hanging up those sneaks, so he?ll be able to walk from Big Piggy Bank 1 to Big Piggy Bank 2 without a cane.

- The Sixers? playoffs hopes are fragile, but with two games left versus the Celtics, a team that has lost five in a row, Allen Iverson may see a chance to steal homecourt advantage in the first round.

- Speaking of Rashard Lewis, he is the one guy that Seattle can not play without.  When Ray Allen went down, Flip Murray stepped right in and they didn?t miss a beat.  Flip Murray definitely deserves this year?s award for Best Underused Player.

- With Carlos Boozer out for the season, his days as the heir apparent to Karl Malone in Salt Lake City are likely over.  That Lakers trade that Jake Haley was reporting might happen this summer.  Lamar Odom will not be the player that helps Kobe Bryant return to the playoffs.

- Minnesota is finally, finally clicking, surprisingly because of the return of Sam Cassell and Memphis have lost their last three games, including a loss to New Orleans, setting up the potential comeback/meltdown of the season.

Any Doubts???

- Any doubt that if Tim Duncan misses the first round of the playoffs, they could waltz through whatever team they are matched with?  Houston and Seattle are supposed two of the stronger teams of the West, but neither were a problem this week, though Seattle was without Rashard Lewis.

- Any doubt that the Warriors are the best team of those that will be in the lottery?

- Any doubt that the Bobcats are the best expansion team in the last 20 seasons?

- Any doubt that the NBA?s playoff format which will reward the winner of the Atlantic Division with a #3 seed is a faulty system?
