To the shock of few, Ray Allen re-signed with Seattle SuperSonics, but there are quite a few interesting free agents still out there, as well as a heap of potential trade scenarios involving the 15 clubs of the Western Conference.

Dallas

- Darrell Armstrong Unrestricted F.A., Alan Henderson Unrestricted F.A.

Dallas without Michael Finley, is like Dallas without Walker Texas Ranger, you just can?t imagine it, but we better get used to it.  As much as I?m sure it pains Mark Cuban to do it, waiving or trading Finley is the wise thing to do and it should really free up the Mavericks? salary cap situation.

Mark Cuban has had two consecutive summers filled with major multi-player trades, but other than the Finley move, it should be a quiet summer, unless they decide to get mixed up in the Paul Pierce trade.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Terry
SG: Stackhouse
SF: Howard
PF: Nowitzki
C: Dampier
Bench: Van Horn, Daniels, Harris

Denver

- DerMarr Johnson Unrestricted F.A., Wesley Person Unrestricted F.A., Mark Pope Unrestricted F.A., Bryon Russell Unrestricted F.A.

Denver is one of many teams on the market for a shooting guard this summer, but unlike the Cavaliers, they don?t have much money to spend.  Unfortunately, they will be on the outside looking in when Redd, Allen and Hughes re-sign with their current clubs and when they also lose out on Bobby Simmons, which will mean a platoon of DerMarr Johnson and Voshon Lenard will be in order.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Miller
SG: Johnson
SF: Anthony
PF: Martin
C: Camby
Bench: Nene, Lenard, Najera

Golden State

- Nikoloz Tskitishvili Unrestricted F.A., Rodney White Unrestricted F.A.

The Warriors have only two free agents this summer and the club has no interest in bringing either of them back.

With the rest of the team under contract and three draft choices that could contribute immediately in the NBA, there will be zero movement for the Warriors.

The biggest decision is what to do with Mike Dunleavy, as Mickael Pietrus is becoming the more attractive option at small forward.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Davis
SG: Richardson
SF: Dunleavy
PF: Murphy
C: Foyle
Bench: Pietrus, Fisher, Biedrins, Diogu

Houston

- Jon Barry Unrestricted F.A., Ryan Bowen Unrestricted F.A., Torraye Braggs Unrestricted F.A., Dikembe Mutombo Unrestricted F.A., Scott Padgett Unrestricted F.A

Rotation Projection:
PG: Jaric
SG: Wesley
SF: McGrady
PF: Howard
C: Yao
Bench: James, Bowen, Mutombo

L.A. Clippers

- Rick Brunson Unrestricted F.A., Marko Jaric Restricted F.A., Kerry Kittles Unrestricted F.A., Mikki Moore Unrestricted F.A., Zeljko Rebracca Unrestricted F.A., Bobby Simmons Unrestricted F.A

Donald Sterling is prepared to spend this summer and when they lose out on Ray Allen, the Clippers will be ready to pull the trigger on a Paul Pierce deal.  Pierce is a local product and will generate a buzz that guarantees equal time to L.A.?s second team in the papers and likely guarantees a better record than their Staples Center roommates.

Wilcox, Simmons, Jaric and Kittles will also be lost, but

Rotation Projection:
PG: Livingston
SG: Magette
SF: Pierce
PF: Brand
C: Kaman
Bench: Moore, Wilcox

L.A. Lakers

- Tony Bobbitt Restricted F.A., Tierre Brown Unrestricted F.A., Luke Walton Restricted F.A.

Kobe Bryant didn?t seem to take to the Atkins plan, so he will not be with the Lakers come the start of the new season, as he will be shipped to Atlanta for Tyrone Lue???  Jackson still reportedly likes Lue and isn?t that much of a downgrade from Atkins.

Barring a Buter or Odom trade, the Lakers will be as the Lakers are, not very deep.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Lue
SG: Bryant
SF: Butler
PF: Odom
C: Mihm
Bench: Divac, Turiaf, Jones

Memphis

- Ryan Humphrey Unrestricted F.A., Stromile Swift Unrestricted F.A., Earl Watson Unrestricted F.A.

The off-season in Memphis will either be a fire sale of a complete dud.  Either way, handicapping it is futile because nobody knows what?s going to happen.  Wells will be dealt, but other than that, who knows?  Gasol to the Knicks? Doubt it.  Williams to the Wolves?  Doubt it.  But really, who knows?

Rotation Projection:
PG: Williams
SG: Miller
SF: Battier
PF: Gasol
C: Wright
Bench: Cardinal, Warrick

Minnesota

- Anthony Carter Unrestricted F.A., Eddie Griffin Restricted F.A., Ervin Johnson Unrestricted F.A., Mark Madsen Unrestricted F.A., Latrell Sprewell Unrestricted F.A., John Thomas Unrestricted F.A.

The Wolves were shocked when they found themselves as the ninth seed at the end of the 2005 season, just one year after being the one seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

Starting from scratch is an option, but it seems as though they feel that they are still a few minor tweaks away from the Finals.  I would think the same thing if I had the game?s most productive player.  If they aren?t in the playoff hunt come January or February, the KG trade rumors will be running rampant.

Expect no major moves this offseason.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Hudson
SG: Hassell
SF: Szczerbiak
PF: Garnett
C: Olowokandi
Bench: Cassell, McCants, Griffin

New Orleans

- Dan Dickau Unrestricted F.A., Casey Jacobsen Unrestricted F.A., Bostjan Nachbar Unrestricted F.A., Lee Nailon Unrestricted F.A.

The emergence of Dan Dickau in New Orleans will now be moved to Utah, just like the Jazz.  The draft of Chris Paul makes the Gonzaga star expendable, especially when you have one of the league?s best backups under contract in Speedy Claxton.

The Magloire talk will continue until he is traded, which will probably be during the season, when the Raptors are making a push for the playoffs.  The Charlie Villanueva pick may make more sense to Raptors fans at that point.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Paul
SG: Smith
SF: Nailon
PF: Brown
C: Magloire
Bench: Claxton, Andersen

Phoenix

- Joe Johnson Restricted F.A., Bo Outlaw Unrestricted F.A.

The Suns began the off-season before the Finals were even over by trading Quentin Richardson to the Knicks for Kurt Thomas.  They followed it up with the brilliant Raja Bell signing.

The remainder of their summer attention will be spent ensuring Joe Johnson is re-signed, which shouldn?t be too difficult since they are prepared to match any offer sheet he signs with another club.

Depth will once again be a key issue for Phoenix, but Bell gives the Suns a player that can give both Nash and Johnson longer breaks.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Nash
SG: Johnson
SF: Marion
PF: Thomas
C: Stoudemire
Bench: Bell, Hunter, Barbosa, Jackson

Portland

- Shareef Abdur-Rahim Unrestricted F.A., Richie Frahm Restricted F.A., Ha Seung-Jin Restricted F.A., Damon Stoudamire Unrestricted F.A.

The youth movement is here officially in Portland, with Stoudamire and Abdur-Rahim both getting on the first plane out of the Great Northwest.

There have been rumors that Theo Ratliff could be waived, but that is highly unlikely.  Nick Van Exel and Ruben Patterson have their bags packed, but there is hardly a team that will take them until they know that they are either healthy or if the team is out of the playoffs, so summer deals are unlikely.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Telfair
SG: Webster
SF: Miles
PF: Randolph
C: Ratliff
Bench: Pryzbilla, Van Exel

Sacramento

- Erik Daniels Restricted F.A., Maurice Evans Restricted F.A., Eddie House Unrestricted F.A., Bobby Jackson Unrestricted F.A., Cuttino Mobley Unrestricted F.A.

With Cuttino Mobley opting out, his days in Sacramento may be over and they deserve to be over.  He was a bad fit in Sacramento from day one.  Ronald ?Flip? Murray is one of the players that will slip through the free agency cracks and land in Sacramento.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Bibby
SG: Murray
SF: Peja
PF: Thomas
C: Miller
Bench: Garcia, Williamson

San Antonio

- Devin Brown Restricted F.A., Linton Johnson Restricted F.A., Sean Marks Unrestricted F.A., Tony Massenburg Unrestricted F.A., Glenn Robinson Unrestricted F.A., Mike Wilks Unrestricted F.A

With Robert Horry re-signed, they will now turn their attention to getting Luis Scola over to the States and they will likely succeed.  There will be no significant change of the starting five, though one of their rotation guys can be moved in a slight tweak of the 2005 Finals Championship team.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Parker
SG: Ginobili
SF: Bowen
PF: Duncan
C: Nazr
Bench: Horry, Barry, Scola

Seattle

- Ray Allen Unrestricted F.A., Mateen Cleaves Unrestricted F.A., Reggie Evans Restricted F.A., Jerome James Unrestricted F.A., Ronald Murray Restricted F.A., Vitaly Potapeko Unrestricted F.A., Vladimir Radmanovic Restricted F.A., Damien Wilkins Restricted F.A

Right now it doesn?t look like there is a very good chance for any of the Sonics? free agents to return, but this will change as we move deeper into July.

While Antonio Daniels is for sure gone, the posturing being done on both sides of the Ray Allen negotiations is merely posturing.  After such a great season in 2004-2005, the Sonics do not want to lose Allen and start over, nor does he really want to go the Clippers.  Allen already knows that the Sonics will pay him more than anyone else and he is merely attempting to inch his contract as high as he can get it.

Radmanovic is a restricted free agent and will be back as well, as will Jerome James, who will be suffering from the fallout of the Erick Dampier contract.  Teams will be reluctant to give James a lucrative multi-year contract after several disappointing seasons, despite his phenomenal performance in the playoffs.

Flip Murray and Reggie Evans will be the departing parties.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Ridnour
SG: Allen
SF: Radmanovic
PF: Lewis
C: James
Bench: Wilkins

Utah

- Raja Bell Unrestricted F.A., Howard Eisley Unrestricted F.A., Ben Handlogten Restricted F.A., Randy Livingston Unrestricted F.A., Keith McLeod Restricted F.A.

Raja Bell was lost in the opening hours of the free agent period, but he was an unneeded commodity with the Deron Williams draft.  Bringing over Dan Dickau appears likely and would be a nice fit for both parties.

The Jazz got off to a great start last season before they were hit with injuries.  Kevin O?Connor believes that the team could compete for a playoff spot this season.

Rotation Projection:
PG: Williams
SG: Giricek
SF: Kirilenko
PF: Boozer
C: Okur
Bench: Collins, Humphries, Harpring
