R.J. Hunter Leaving Georgia State For NBA Draft

R.J. Hunter will leave Georgia State to declare for the 2015 NBA Draft.

Hunter finalized a decision with his family, including his father, Georgia State coach Ron Hunter, over the weekend, sources said.

Hunter is considered a late first round pick after averaging 19.7 points per game for Georgia State.

Georgia State's R.J. Hunter entered the season with many scouts expecting him to be an eventual lottery pick.

Hunter, however, has been in a shooting slump all season that could be blamed on how teams defend him.

According to Chad Ford, some scouts are reminded of a young Klay Thompson when they watch Hunter.

R.J. Hunter of Georgia State has been named the 2015 Sun Belt Player of the Year.

Joining Hunter on the All-Sun Belt First Team are Ryan Harrow, Jalani Hewitt, Shawn Long and Tylor Ongwae.

Hewitt was also named Defensive Player of the Year.

Wesley Person Jr. won Freshman of the Year honors.
