The Suns and forward Jared Dudley's camp continue to discuss a contract extension, but nothing appears close.
ESPN.com's Marc Stein reported the progress on Sunday.
The Hawks and Al Horford continue to discuss a possible contract.
Monday's 11:59 p.m. ET deadline for contract extensions looms and Horford appears to be the most likely candidate remaining to receive a deal.
One source close to the negotiations told ESPN.com's Marc Stein on Sunday that the parties "are still talking" and says a deal -- rated as "probable" by another source last week -- is a "50-50" shot at this point.
The Trail Blazers picked up the fourth-year option on the contract of Rudy Fernandez on Friday.
Fernandez is now under contract for the 2011-12 season for $2.2M, a deal that won't likely prohibit a future trade.
Agent Andy Miller met with Portland general manager Rich Cho and assistant GM Steve Rosenberry recently, but Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that there is little movement on the trade front.
Bobcats owner Michael Jordan says he'd like to sign coach Larry Brown to a contract extension beyond next season.
"I'd love to keep Larry as long as he (wants to be) here," Jordan said. "Larry hasn't chosen to have that conversation, so we haven't."
Rudy Fernandez has calmed on his public requests for a trade and claims he's comfortable with his current role.
"I think I'm happy with this role," said Fernandez, who scored three points Saturday night against the Knicks. "I'm happy with my shots. I'm feeling good with the second unit."
He is averaging 6.0 points in three games, including just over five shots per contest.
Acclaimed director and longtime Knicks fan Spike Lee is certain that Carmelo Anthony will play for his team in the near future.
"I have just one sentence for you," Lee told The New York Post on Saturday night. "Carmelo Anthony will be with the Knicks if God is willing and the creek don't rise."
Lee attended Anthony's wedding in July and The Post reported earlier this month that Anthony has told Lee the Knicks are far and away his top choice.
The Portland Trail Blazers exercised their fourth-year options on the contracts of forward Nicolas Batum and guard/forward Rudy Fernandez.
The moves, announced by General Manager Rich Cho, keep both players under contract through the 2011-12 season.
Rudy Fernandez has filed a grievance with the league after he was fined $50,000 for comments made on his behalf about him seeking a trade, according to league sources.
European agent Gerard Darnes told a Portland radio station on Oct. 6 that Fernandez's hopes to be released from his contract and return to Spain.
Andy Miller is Fernandez's official NBA agent and Darnes also isn't registered as Fernandez's European agent.
ESPN's Ric Bucher is reporting that Heat president Pat Riley may try to trade for a point guard in December.
On Dec. 15 most of the free agents that signed contracts this summer will become eligible in trades.
"Two different team executives said they expect the Heat to dangle $3 million and second-year PG Mario Chalmers to a lottery-bound team looking to shed the long-term contract of a mid-priced spot-up shooting PG," Bucher writes.
"Riley's objective is to find another shooter to space the floor, a la BJ Armstrong or John Paxson in their Chicago days playing alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen."
Bucher lists Jarrett Jack and Daniel Gibson as options.
Tony Parker has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with the Spurs.
Parker was eligible to become a free agent as a member of the 2011 class.
?I didn?t mind playing through the year,? Parker told the Express-News on Saturday. ?But it?s great to have security, and not go through a whole season worried if I get hurt or if I play bad. Now I can just focus on the team and hopefully have a great season and win a lot of games.?
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said he was happy to have one potential distraction off the table.
?I don?t know what was going to happen (in terms of distraction), but whatever was going to happen probably isn?t because he signed,? Popovich said. ?He?s been a big part of what we?ve been doing around here for a lot of years. To have him in the fold and be a Spur for this long is fantastic for us, and hopefully for him, too.?
