Austin Spurs guard/forward Kyle Anderson, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, has been named Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 2 – Sunday, Feb. 8.  

Anderson (6-9, 230, UCLA) led Austin to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 19.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 blocks. He recorded back-to-back double-doubles in wins over the Grand Rapids Drive, scoring 12 and grabbing 12 boards on Feb. 7, and tallying 17 points and 10 rebounds the night before on Feb. 6. 

A first-round pick (30^th overall) in the 2014 NBA Draft, Anderson has appeared in eight games for Austin on assignment this season, averaging 21.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 43.1 minutes. 

Sioux Falls Skyforce forward Shawn Jones and Rio Grande Valley Vipers’ forward Toure’ Murry have been named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 26 – Sunday, Feb. 1.  This is the first time either player has garnered Performer of the Week honors.

Jones (6’8, 236, Middle Tennessee State) led Sioux Falls to a 3-0 record, averaging 19.0 points on .649 shooting (24-for-37), to go along with 14.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 block. He recorded a double-double in all three games and giving him six consecutive games of double-digit points and rebounds. On Jan. 21, he tallied season-highs with 29 points and 20 rebounds in a 121-11 win over the Delaware 87ers.

Murry (6’5, 200, Wichita State) helped Rio Grande Valley to a 2-1 record, averaging 19.0 points on .463 shooting (19-for-41). He connected on 6-of-14 three-point attempts in addition to recording 9.0 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists. On Jan. 30, he registered a season-high 24 points, to go along with 10 assists, nine rebounds and three steals in a 133-126 victory over the Texas Legends.
