Hamady Ndiaye Signing In D-League

Jan 14, 2014 1:32 PM

Free agent Hamady Ndiaye will sign a contract to return to the NBA Development League where his rights are held by the Delaware 87ers, a league source told RealGM.

Ndiaye made the Sacramento Kings’ roster out of training camp as a rugged, active seven-footer and brought a positive presence. He was released on Jan. 6 and had been considering Chinese interest and heading back to the D-League.

Ndiaye averaged 1.3 rebounds and 5.3 minutes in 14 games with the Kings.

The 76ers worked out Ndiaye along with several other big men, and they’ll assuredly keep tabs on Ndiaye with their D-League affiliate.

Acquired by Washington in the second round of the 2010 NBA draft, Ndiaye played two seasons with the Wizards. He entered the NBA after four seasons at Rutgers, averaging 9.4 points and 7.4 rebounds as a senior.
