The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that city council members are expected to make a decision today on preliminary approval for the city's share of bonds needed to build a downtown arena.  Lengthy public hearings were held Monday at both the city council and the County Commission.  Geoff Calkins says council is expected to support the deal while the commission's support is less certain.  The commission vote is likely next week.  The NBA and Grizzlies say support is needed or the Grizz won't move to Memphis.  Others say the deal is done, and all that's going on now is negotiating terms of the agreement.
