The Indianapolis Star reports that the Pacers have Signed Primoz Brezec, their first round pick in the 2000 draft. The 7-1, 250-pound forward/center was chosen with the 27th pick in the draft but played last season with Slovenia's B.C. Olimpija Ljubljana in the Euroleague, the top European league. He averaged 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 19.9 minutes and shot 72.9 percent. "We're extremely happy to have Primoz Brezec sign and grateful to Olimpija Ljubljana for letting him out of the remaining year of his contract," Pacers president Donnie Walsh said. "This will allow Primoz to begin his career in the NBA and get started immediately."
