After the draft-day coup that landed Eddie Griffin, the Rockets are changing their priorities in the free agent market, reports Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.  While they were once going full throttle to lure Chris Webber, they've now decided that re-signing their own free agents is more desireable.  Because Griffin addresses many of the same problems Webber would have, they don't think it necessary to take that gamble -- one that could have left them with neither Webber nor any of their own free agents.

John Lopez writes that Eddie Griffin complements the games of Shandon Anderson and Maurice Taylor, thereby increasing their value to the squad.  He also thinks it reduces the value of Hakeem Olajuwon.
