According to the Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith, it was the Bulls who propelled Antonio Davis to run back to Toronto.  The Bulls believed Davis was using them to broker a sign and trade deal with Orlando - the destination of his choice - so the Bulls dropped out of the running and received a verbal commitment from Charlotte free agent Eddie Robinson.  This left Davis with no alternative but to re-up with the Raptors.  'His (Davis') real aim was to get to Orlando, where he has a home. And he was banking on scaring the Raptors into making a sign-and-trade deal like the Hornets did last season with Eddie Jones after he said he would sign with the Bulls leaving Charlotte nothing in return.' wrote Smith.  It seems that Davis' agent Bill Duffy created offers to try to bluff his way through, but the Bulls found out no offers really existed and nixed any possible deal.  Chicago 1, Free Agents 0.
