The LA Times reports Laker GM Mitch Kupchak is looking at losing two members of his championship team, Tyrone Lue and Horace Grant. Lue, who made his reputation with his dogged defense of Allen Iverson in the NBA Finals, has agreed to a multiyear deal with the Washington Wizards, according to reports from Washington.

Horace Grant called "premature" reports that he has reached an agreement with the Orlando Magic, but said he would not return to the Lakers for the $1.3-million salary-cap exception. His agent, Jimmy Sexton, has been in Orlando for the last few days. "If the Lakers are dead set on that $1.3 million," Grant said Thursday, "it'd be in my best interest to play somewhere else. But I'm not going to rush into everything." Grant met with Orlando GM John Gabriel on Wednesday. He reportedly has been offered a one-year, $2.25 million deal by the Magic. Grant has also been in contact with the Milwaukee Bucks and, in case Chris Webber does not return, the Sacramento Kings.

Free-agent forward Samaki Walker visited the Lakers' training facility in El Segundo on Thursday and met with Kupchak. Guard Mitch Richmond is expected to be in town next week for a workout with the Lakers. Richmond, 36, was limited to 37 games with the Washington Wizards last season because of injuries to both knees.
