According to the Charlotte Observer, the Hornets failed in their attempt to change Free Agent Eddie Robinson's mind to join the Chicago Bulls, with the forward signing the offer sheet yesterday.  "There was a lot of activity, a flurry of activity, from a lot of different people with Charlotte," Agent James Bryant said. "They've been communicating with Eddie over the last few days, expressing their feelings for him.  Eddie has warm feelings toward everybody there. It's just that the deal was already over. Your word is your word."  While no names were mentioned, it is believed that one of the players pleading for his return was the explosive Baron Davis.

Meanwhile, Charlotte might get one back from the Bulls if they can sign Bryce Drew.  Drew will showcase his skills today at the Hornets Training Facility in Fort Mill, as will Philadelphia 76ers free agent guard Kevin Ollie.
