Brian Hill, the ex-coach of the ex-Vanouver Grizzlies and Orlando Magic, is back on an NBA bench - but not as a head coach.  The Charlotte Hornets hired Brian Hill and his 14 years of NBA experience Monday to become an assistant to head coach Paul Silas.  Hill has been doing television analysis for ESPN for the last 12 months, and is eager to return to the fold.  "I?m thrilled about the opportunity to join this organization and work with Paul," Hill said in a team release. "I think my experience can help this team, which has a core of great young players that are eager to build upon the success of last season."

He also said he wanted to use the position to get back into a head coaching role in the league.  "My goal is to be a head coach again. I really feel this is the best opportunity for me to do that, to be working with someone like Paul and with a good team."  For one thing he is Paul Silas' vote (as long as it is not for his position, we presume)... "Sure he wants to do that again," Silas said. "Why not? In fact, I really don?t want anybody with me who doesn?t have those type of aspirations."
