"Rookies don't get calls," Said Eddy Curry, the Bulls rookie center. "I found out firsthand that rookies don't get calls."  He has yet to play in an official NBA game, but already Eddy Curry is absorbing everything around him, adjusting as he goes, reports Steve Rosenbloom from the Chicago Tribune.  Curry fouled out three times in nine games through the summer league, but he is learning.  "It was crazy," Curry said of his just-completed summer league season. "It was definitely a learning experience. You have to learn to shut your mouth. It can be a real long game for a rookie."

His major lesson, though, is that he must play hard all of the time if he wants to succeed in this league.  Even though he averaged 13 points and 4.4 rebounds in 23 minutes at Long Beach and 10.5 points and six rebounds in Utah, Curry knows he has a long path to travel.  "I was never in a position where I had to play hard all the time," the 6-foot-11 Curry said. "In high school I was able to take a couple of days off now and then. But in the NBA it's not like that. You have to play hard all the time.  I learned that it's hard work. I learned it'll take a lot of dedication to get to where I want to be. Making it to the NBA was not the goal; my goal is to be successful at this level."
