Tim Povtak of the Orlando Sentinel reports: As a player, Doc Rivers loved the challenge of trying to guard Michael Jordan, even though the result was pretty predictable.

As the Orlando Magic's coach now, Rivers can't wait to face him again -- assuming Jordan goes through with his comeback plans to join the Washington Wizards.

"It's really neat that he's coming back," Rivers said. "He doesn't care what anyone else thinks about it. It's funny that we chastise people for being scared, for not wanting to take a gamble, but when we have a guy willing to do that [Jordan], we chastise him for that, too."

Povtak also includes some other news from around the NBA.
