Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports: Two nights after playing in his first NBA game in three years, Michael Jordan continues his celebrated comeback tonight when his Washington Wizards play the Heat in an exhibition at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Jordan, 38, is expected to start and play three six- or seven-minute spurts, Wizards coach Doug Collins said. Jordan said he wants to play more than his eight-point, 17-minute stint Thursday at Detroit.

On Wednesday, Jordan said he wanted to sit out the Wizards' first two preseason games. But the NBA asked him to play.

``Obviously, I can't [jump] from the free-throw line,'' Jordan said after Friday's practice at AmericanAirlines Arena. ``I think I've lost some of that. I'm not into trying to regain anything. That's not my motivation. The game has become more cerebral. I've learned to play the game with not as much forcefulness as when I was a kid. Now, I'm thinking more and [there's] less athleticism. I still think I can get the job done.''

Detroit forward Corliss Williamson said: ``It didn't look like he still had his legs. Otherwise, he would have gotten up there and dunked. He still has his quickness and smarts.''

``My legs are coming back,'' Jordan said. ``I got out of shape. The normal YMCA boys club, I was OK. I was still dominating in the three years I didn't play. But when you're talking about playing against the best athletes in the world, physically it's going to take some time to get back to that level.
