You think the Knicks would have learned their lesson last season. Three does not fit into two. But though the Knicks were able to shed Glen Rice and alleviate congestion at the swing positions, the move has now cramped the point guard position.

The New York Post wonders if Howard Eisley is a longshot to remain a Knick. If the first two weeks of training camp are any indication, Jeff Van Gundy will use Mark Jackson and Charlie Ward and give Eisley a seat next to Travis Knight.

"I tried to play them all in the first game," Van Gundy said. "It was a home game. We played awful. One of the reasons was I was trying to play too many guys. I'm trying to play two of the three now."

The Knicks had a similar point guard logjam last season before they dealt Erick Strickland for Othella Harrington. The Knicks may face the fact that they have to move Eisley, but one wonders how many teams will be eager to pick up the remaining six seasons and nearly $38 million on his contract.
