At 6-foot-9, Pat Garrity can blend in all but unnoticed when the Orlando Magic go to a lineup comprised in part of Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady and Mike Miller.

Even when the Magic don't use their three 6-8 swingmen at the same time, Garrity should get more opportunities to shoot from 3-point range this season. That was apparent Wednesday night when he went 4-of-7 from that distance in only 19 minutes as the Magic began the preseason with an 83-70 victory over the Miami Heat.

"It was amazing how open he was," coach Doc Rivers said of Garrity, who tied for the seventh-best 3-point percentage in the NBA a year ago (.433) despite averaging less than three attempts a game.
