Ron Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports the Grizzlies are interested in signing veteran shooting guard Jimmy Jackson.  With Michael Dickerson out, the Grizz are relying on Nick Anderson to carry the load.  But even if he weren't injured, it's unlikely Anderson could carry a full starting load.  Last year he managed just 8 minutes per game, and during training camp he talked of retiring.

With such a gaping hole, Jackson looks like a natural fit.  Most of the summer Jackson has been saying he expects close to the $4.3 million mid-level exception.  But recently the 31-year old Jackson said he'd play for the minimum, which is about $840,000 for his years of service.  So much for strengthening his bargaining position.
