While most Heat fans are wondering who will be the starting point guard this season, the two most likely candidates don't seem to be too concerned less than a week from opening night against Toronto.
Anthony Carter practiced with the Heat for the first time in a week since reaggravating a strained abdomen that has kept him out for most of training camp.
He said he would be willing to take a step back to let recently acquired veteran point guard Rod Strickland, who made his practice debut with his Heat teammates Thursday, step in to replace Tim Hardaway.
Strickland also downplayed a starting role -- saying he was not concerned about whether he starts.
