Sometime early this morning, Tony Parker will begin the five-minute trek from his North Side apartment to Shipley Do-Nuts.

Every time he places the same order. A couple dozen doughnuts. One coffee.

Parker never forgets to make his game-day pickup before heading to the Alamodome for the morning shootaround.

"If I did," he said, "they might hurt me."

They would be Terry Porter, Steve Smith and any other Spurs veteran in need of a quick breakfast. Though Parker, a rookie, is not yet responsible for running the team, Porter has charged him with feeding it.
