Magic notes: Orlando, which played in Indiana Friday night, is playing its first set of back-to-back games of the season. Slightly more than half (42) of the Magic's games will be of the back-to-back variety. Eight times this season the Magic will play on consecutive nights on the road.

Of those 11 opponents, eight made the playoffs last season. ... Orlando has won six of the past nine games against Cleveland, including three victories last season. But the Cavaliers stunned the Magic 101-78 in Cleveland last April. ... Tracy McGrady had his way with the Cleveland defense last season, averaging 24.7 points in four games. He scored 36 points in a win versus Cleveland. ... Magic starting center Andrew DeClercq played for Cleveland for 1 1/2 seasons before he was traded to Orlando in August of 2000. ... Small forward Bo Outlaw's playing time likely will diminish this season. He played just 16 minutes in the opener, much of it coming after the game already had been decided. But Outlaw, a starter who played 31.7 minutes a game last season, could see additional playing time tonight because the Magic are playing on consecutive nights.

Cavaliers notes: Tonight's game will be Cleveland's fourth in five nights. The Cavaliers were routed in the opener against Boston and then lost in Charlotte a night later. The Cavs played in Miami Friday night, arriving back in Cleveland after the Magic had gotten there. ... Fans in Cleveland are hardly excited about this team. The season opener drew an announced crowd of 17,748, but there were several thousands of no-shows. ... Cocoa native Jumaine Jones, acquired this summer in a trade with Philadelphia, is playing 31 minutes a game off the bench for Cleveland. He is averaging nine points a game and is shooting 45 percent. ... Former Magic center Michael Doleac has started two of Cleveland's first four games. Doleac was traded to Cleveland this past spring for rookie center Brendan Haywood. Haywood eventually was traded to Washington. In two games for Cleveland, Doleac is averaging seven points and eight rebounds a game. However, he is shooting just 36.4 percent from the floor. ... Andre Miller is again proving himself to be one of the Eastern Conference's best point guards. He is averaging 15.5 points, 7.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds a game. ... Chris Mihm, a first-round pick two seasons ago, has yet to make much of an impact with the Cavs. He is shooting just 31.6 percent from the floor and is averaging only nine points a game. ... Cleveland still is without standout center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who has missed four of the past five seasons with foot injuries.
