Lamar Odom's shaky start this season will be the least of his worries as he turns 22 today, according to the LA Daily News. The NBA suspended Odom a minimum of five games without pay Monday for violating its anti-drug program. He served a five-game suspension for violating the same program less than eight months ago.

The league was tight-lipped on the details of the latest punishment. The NBA's guidelines prohibit it from disclosing information about the testing or treatment of players in the anti-drug program.

Under terms of the league's collective-bargaining agreement. a player can be suspended for testing positive for marijuana three times or simply for failing to comply with the drug-treatment program.

According to published reports, Odom voluntarily joined the league's program for marijuana abuse when he entered the league in the 1999-00 season. When Odom was suspended in March, there was a good a chance it was because he failed to attend his treatment sessions.

The possibility is the ramifications are the same for his current suspension. However, the chance also is present that he failed three drug tests.
