The Charlotte Hornets are moving to Louisville, Ky. Also, the sky is falling. Seek shelter. Seek shelter before it's too late!

C'mon, folks. You've been around way too long to believe everything you hear and see and read, even stories that make the front page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The proclamation by Charlotte Hornets co-owner Ray Wooldridge on Thursday that "Louisville is definitely ahead and has a very significant lead over other cities" means nothing.

Of course the Hornets want to move to Louisville. You already knew that. But just because they want to doesn't mean they get to.

Although Louisville has a mayor so strong he dares to make decisions without leaning on a referendum, he can't commit public money to an arena without going through some influential opposition that goes way beyond Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino.

If I gave odds on which city I believe the Hornets ultimately will end up in, I would rank them like this:
