According to Jay Greenburg of the New York Post: If Latrell Sprewell truly no longer has any enthusiasm for being a Knick, they should be shopping him for a desperately needed front-court player. Their ongoing labor without a top-notch point guard is now being further burdened by a small and shooting-impaired front line, which Portland exploited in last night's 89-82 Knick victory.

The only argument to keep Sprewell is to keep the patrons in the house.

Of course, Allan Houston is another shell of his old self being overturned by Van Gundy in search of a pea. But with Sprewell two years into a five-year deal (he can ask out after the 2003-4 season) and Houston just signed up forever and $100 million, one would have to assume the better and more versatile performer remains the more tradable commodity.

Unless a big-time scorer and rebounder can be acquired for Houston, the only way to get the most out Sprewell might be to get him out of here.
