John Delong of the Winston-Salem Journal reports: There is some sentiment around the NBA that team owners would not approve a move of the franchise should ownership strike a deal with another city.

But co-owners Ray Wooldridge and George Shinn apparently have the support of at least one fellow owner, Michael Heisley of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Heisley, who moved his team out of Vancouver last summer, told the Vancouver Province newspaper last week that he had no problem with the Hornets moving to Louisville or Norfolk or wherever. Moreover, he said he expected the Hornets to move at this point.

"I think they're going to move," Heisley told the Province's Howard Tsumura. "I don't think there's any question they're going to move. The point is, what I don't understand is how people can think that the NBA or baseball or anybody else, how you can expect somebody to continue to lose huge sums of money with no future of being able to straighten it out.

"You can say, 'Well, I don't believe the community or the government should pay for a new arena.' That's fine. But then you shouldn't get upset if there's another government that will pay for it. I'm not an apologist for them, but why would somebody make it sound like Ray Wooldridge and them are bad people because they're trying to at least break even? You can't make any money in this damn league unless you're in New York, Los Angeles or Chicago. But you don't want to lose double-digit millions, either."
