While the Hornets have been told of the possibility that leader Jamal Mashburn may miss 1-2 months with an abdominal strain, the Hornets Coach Paul Silas still is not sure to the extent of the injury.  The team is to learn more on Tuesday, hopeful that Mashburn will be available for a six-game road trip that starts next Friday at Cleveland.  Silas said yesterday that the Hornets will not make any more roster moves until they find out whats going to happen with Mashburn.

Should the Hornets choose to bring someone in, Silas' preference is for a young, athletic offensive player such as Jim Jackson, Chris Mullin, Mario Elie, Chris Carr or J.R. Rider. (Mullin and Elie young?)
