Just when you think the Bulls cannot get any worse they prove you wrong.  After scoring at least 20 points in the opening two quarters and going into the half down by 10 to New Jersey, Chicago opened the third quarter with a basket by Marcus Fizer and a layup by Greg Anthony at the 10:11 minute mark, with a Keith Van Horn three pointer seperating the two, then the Nets went on a 21-2 run to hold the Bulls to a dismal 6 points for the quarter.  A Greg Anthony jumpshot with 2:37 left broke the drought for the Bulls, who then went scoreless for the remainder of the quarter.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the points, or lack thereof, is a record for both teams, with New Jersey tying a record set for fewest points allowed in a quarter set against Boston on Jan. 9, 1990, and the Bulls tied their fewest points in a quarter set on Nov. 6, 1993 against Miami.  That Bulls team featured Scottie Pippen and Toni Kukoc, but no Michael Jordan who was playing baseball at the time.
