LOS ANGELES -- Isiah Thomas wore the satisfied look of a coach whose players had taken the NBA schedule-maker's best shot and remained on their feet.

In the season's first 34 days, the Indiana Pacers played an NBA-high 20 games, including a league-leading eight sets of back-to-back games.

But not even a five-game, eight-day West Coast trip that concluded Sunday could drop Thomas' team below .500.

The Pacers were 10-10 overall after Sunday's 103-72 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
