This was like taking target practice -- at close range.

The Orlando Magic got back to .500 Monday night by beating up on the Memphis Grizzlies, who played with the intensity of tackling dummies at a football practice.

The Magic (9-9) did as they pleased from start to finish, barely breaking a sweat in blasting the Grizzlies 113-71 before a happy but unenthused crowd that left long before time expired.

Magic star Tracy McGrady had 22 points and eight rebounds, but he watched the fourth quarter from the sideline, dancing outside a late-game, timeout huddle to the Village People's YMCA.

It was the second-biggest margin of victory in Magic home-game history, trailing only a 46-point win against Philadelphia six seasons ago.

"I thought our defense was awesome tonight, but this one looked like a good practice for us," McGrady said. "I guess you can call them cupcake teams [Memphis and Chicago on Wednesday], but we've got to take care of teams like this."
