Rockets team physician Walter Lowe announced the Rockets will be without the services of starting small forward Glen Rice for at least the next two weeks, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.  Rice has patellar tendinitis in his right knee.

"He has a really bad tendinitis," Lowe said. "We'll get the MRI tomorrow (Friday). It will shed some light on how long (Rice will be out). But I would say at least a couple of weeks. At least. It didn't look very good at all."

The injured list is already full with Maurice Taylor, Jason Collier and Steve Francis.  Cuttino Mobley is hobbled with a sprained ankle but is playing.

Francis, who is out four to six weeks with a ruptured plantar fascia in his left foot, has progressed well in his recovery and has been cleared to start shooting, though he is still a long way from returning.  He and assistant Jim Boylen are working on improving his game from the sidelines.
