The Grizzlies knew they were walking into the Pepsi Center Thursday night with the Denver Nuggets at their Rocky Mountain lowest.
So the Grizzlies figured to catch a feisty opponent down given the Nuggets point guard wants out and their coach is serving a four-game suspension for racially insensitive remarks he made to a fan.

In the end, though, the Grizzlies did not see an emotionally-charged rival. But the Nuggets were more opportunistic in beating the Grizzlies, 89-86, in front of a flat crowd of 11,231.
