Who was that guy who scored a team-high 24 points for the Houston Rockets but missed a 3-point shot in overtime that could have beaten the Indiana Pacers at the buzzer Thursday night?

He was rookie Oscar Torres, the NBA's first Venezuelan-born player.

Torres, who turns 25 Tuesday, has turned heads since leaving Marinos de Oriente of the Venezuelan League after four years to sign with the Rockets as a free agent Sept. 10.
