With center Lorenzen Wright out with a knee injury, and it looking as though Bryant Reeves will never return, Memphis is in desperate need for a center.  The Memphis Commercial-Appeal's Ron Tillery thinks they're seriously looking at Golden State's Marc Jackson.

He's expecting Reeves' retirement to kick in January 23, which is when he'll miss his 41st consecutive game and will start collecting 80 percent of his salary from insurance.

The Warriors aren't using Jackson, and it's commonly accepted that they matched Houston's offer just so they could trade him and get some value in return.  Jackson must approve any trade.

Tillery also speculates Indiana, Dallas, Phoenix, Denver and New York will be suitors for Jackson.  The Grizz have a mid-first round pick from Houston to offer the Warriors.  However, the Grizzlies probably will also have to trade a player rather than use a disabled player exception, since adding Jackson to their existing roster would move them well into luxury tax territory.
