Along with that unmatched sock that always seems to emerge from the dryer, add these items to life's great imponderables

The night after falling to a team with a 15-game losing streak, the Milwaukee Bucks beat one on a 10-game winning streak.

And that team was none other than the white-hot San Antonio Spurs, who almost never lose in the Alamodome. But get this: The Bucks have won here three consecutive times, including the 101-91 victory Sunday night. In all, make it five straight victories for the Bucks against the Spurs. No one in the league has a longer active winning streak against San Antonio.

"That's basketball, baby," said George Karl, the former Spurs guard who has not lost to San Antonio since becoming the Bucks' coach.

Consider it a return to the Bucks' favored style of play in their time of need. Shooting a season-best 54.4% without an ailing Ray Allen against the No. 3 defensive team in the league, the Bucks (15-9) mowed down the Spurs (20-5) with a season-high 33 points from Sam Cassell, who was virtually unstoppable in the fourth quarter, and 30 by Glenn Robinson.
