HIGH POINT
   
   Scott Padgett stayed hot. Coming off a 16-point outing in Saturday night's 113-111 overtime win at Chicago, he scored a career-high 17 points to help the Jazz defeat Phoenix for the first time in three tries.
   
   LOW POINT
   
   The Jazz scored six points in the opening 6:06. They converted only three of their first 15 possessions into points. They fell behind by 14 points. The Jazz shot 30.4 percent and committed seven turnovers in the first quarter.
   
   TURNING POINT
   
   A second unit consisting of John Crotty, Bryon Russell, Greg Ostertag, Andrei Kirilenko and Padgett opened the second quarter with a 15-0 burst. Over a span of 4:12, Crotty and Padgett had five points each as Utah recovered from its dreadful start. The Jazz outscored the Suns 33-9 in the second quarter.
