With point guards Jason Williams and Brevin Knight out with injuries, the Grizzlies picked up local player Elliot Perry to fill in.

Memphis Commercial-Appeal' Ron Tillerey reports that the 32 year old who played nine years in the NBA was in his Memphis loft when the Grizz called.  He was excited to get the chance to play in his home town, and signed a 10-day contract.

In his debut Thursday night, Perry had seven points and three assists in 23 minutes.  He shared the point responsibilities with Shane Battier.
