PHOENIX - With tired legs and weary minds while playing the final game of a brutal six-game road trip, it would have been easily understandable if the Mavericks would have gone through the motions Sunday night against the Phoenix Suns.

Especially after the Suns, playing under new coach Frank Johnson, bolted to a 15-point lead late in the first period. But the Mavericks proved their resiliency again as they used a 21-0 run to blot out the Suns 105-92 before a crowd of 16,809 at America West Arena.

The victory snapped a two-game losing streak, gave the Mavericks a 4-2 record on the road trip. The Mavs will play nine of their next 10 games at home starting with Tuesday's showdown against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Midwest Division-leading Mavericks (37-16) lead the Timberwolves (35-17) by 1 ? games in the divisional standings.
