The Indianapolis Star is reporting the much-anticipated blockbuster trade with the Chicago Bulls is now official. The Indiana Pacers executed a seven- player deal with Chicago today that sent veterans Jalen Rose and Travis Best to the Bulls, along with rookie Norm Richardson.

The Pacers received former Purdue University standout Brad Miller, swingmen Ron Artest and Ron Mercer, and point guard Kevin Ollie.

"It is very painful to give up players like Jalen Rose and Travis Best, who have been a big part of the success we?ve had here,? Pacers? president Donnie Walsh said in a prepared statement. ?I believe this trade will help us because it gives us strength in areas we need them and it will also be helpful to our team?s future.?
