Jalen Rose and Travis Best made their debuts in a Bulls jersey yesterday, the pair immediately making an impact in carrying the Bulls to an unlikely victory over the New York Knicks.  Rose was in sensational form, scoring 28 of his Bulls-season high 36 points in the second half, executing seemingly every time down the court as the Bulls overcome a 16 point first half deficit to win 113-109.  Travis Best, who scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in limited minutes, picked up a key steal with 16.9 seconds left to secure the win.

"We didn't have a guy before who was 'The Guy,'" coach Bill Cartwright said about Rose. "Now we do."

113 points by the Bulls?  In regulation?  After they had given up their top three scorers in the trade for Rose?  The Bulls looked like a different team out there, moving the ball more freely and opening up opportunities not there previously.  Rose's influence shone on the two high school rookies the most, both having career nights with Tyson Chandler finishing with 13 points and 14 rebounds while Eddy Curry finished with 16 and 12.

But the big suprise came after the game when Greg Anthony was waving goodbye to teammates.  According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune said a league source said the Bulls could deal Anthony to Minnesota, most likely for center Dean Garrett.  The Timberwolves are desperate for a backup point guard after losing starter Terrell Brandon, and with Chicago having Jamal Crawford close to a return and acquiring Best they have an excess supply at the postion.

Rumors also continue to circulate about the future of forward Marcus Fizer with the Bulls organization.  A rumored trade between Chicago and Phoenix broke down when Rodney Rogers was traded to Boston.
