The National Basketball Association's trading deadline came and went on Thursday without the Milwaukee Bucks making a deal.

As late as Thursday noon, five hours before the deadline, general manager Ernie Grunfeld said a trade was still possible, but nothing developed. And so, said Grunfeld, it is time to accept the current group as the team that will head into the stretch run of the regular season together and into the playoffs.

"We all understand now that there is no cavalry coming over the hill and that this is the team we have," said Grunfeld. "Now, it's a matter of coming together.

"We've said all along that we like our team and we have a lot of confidence in our team. We haven't played as well as we would like. But (in Wednesday's victory over Houston) we showed if we make the extra pass and defend, we can be a dangerous club."
