From the days of Bob Lanier to those of the Bad Boys, no Detroit Pistons team has ever had a road winning streak as long as this one.
Clifford Robinson scored 21 points and former Raptor Corliss Williamson had 12 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter as Detroit set a franchise record with its seventh straight road victory, 80-72 over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
"This is unbelievable. We're on an unbelievable run right now," Jerry Stackhouse said. "We're putting up numbers against some of the best that's ever done it for the Pistons, so we're really proud about that."
Ben Wallace added 10 rebounds and five blocks for the Pistons, winners of five straight and 12 of 14 overall.
"For us to come in and break the Bad Boys' record is definitely a big accomplishment," Wallace said. "Everybody doubted us, and said we'd be lucky to win 20 games. To come out and set a franchise record feels great."
