Coming into his debut season as a Chicago Bull there were high hopes for high flyer Eddie Robinson.  GM Jerry Krause labelled him the team's best player, Robinson strived for starters minutes to strut his stuff, and many fans leaguewide were expecting to see a massive breakout season by the third year season.  Thus far all three have been inconclusive.

Robinson has played in only 23 games this season as a result of a variety of injuries, and that figure does not look to climb any time soon.  He has re-aggravated the fractured bone in his left big toe, the same one that has kept him out of 31 games (and counting) this season, and with only 16 games remaining in the Bulls 2001-02 campaign it wouldn't be beneficial to rush him back.

''There's a possibility he could be down for the rest of the season,'' Cartwright said. ''His toe's bothering him, and it's gotten progressively worse.''

"I would love to come back and finish the season, but it's sore right now,'' Robinson said. ''I'm going to do whatever the foot tells me.''
