Jeff Van Gundy's Knicks were eliminated in the first round by the Toronto Raptors last year. With the Raptors now struggling and coach Lenny Wilkens under fire, there is talk that Van Gundy could take over the Raptors next season.

The Portland Trailblazers asked for permission to interview Van Gundy last season, but were denied. Now that Maurice Cheeks has managed to turn the Blazers' season around, Marc Berman of the New York Post sees Toronto as Van Gundy's likeliest landing spot.

If Larry Brown leaves the Sixers, Philly is another possibility, as is Golden State, the team Van Gundy rooted for as a kid growing up in the Bay area. But Van Gundy may view the Warriors in too large of a rebuilding phase.

As a TBS studio analyst Tuesday night, Van Gundy again repeated his fear of rebuilding projects.

"Rebuilding is fine, if you have a chance to get it turned around quickly," he said.
