Bob Young of the Arizona Republic is reporting that Stephon Marbury will fight through the Phoenix Suns last five games before having surgery on his right ankle.  Marbury, who has played all season with a sore left ankle and a bad right hamstring, was a game-time decision on Saturday night, and even though the Suns will not be going to the playoffs he wants to play out the season.

I'm playing," Marbury said. "I'm going to wait until after the season. I'm going to play 82 games."

"He had said earlier in the year that he might need some time off, but we were in the thick of things, so we decided to ride it out and see what happened," Johnson said. "But now we're not in the playoff hunt, so maybe he'll have it."

The procedure would simply remove bone spurs and is not considered serious.
