One of the big unknown?s in this year?s draft is whether Mike Dunleavy Jr will be available on draft day.

Dunleavy hasn?t hired an agent, and hasn?t done any individual workouts.

However, Ron Tillery of the Memphis Commercial-Appeal says that hasn?t stopped teams from showing strong interest in Dunleavy.

Grizzlies? president Jerry West flew to Durham, North Carolina, on Thursday for a one-hour meeting with Dunleavy.  No workout, just a chat.  Later that day, Golden State?s management team flew east for their one-hour visit.  Not that they want their fans to know they?re interested in any players, but that?s another story.

West was no wiser after Thursday?s meeting, even though West has known the prospect since Dunleavy was a kid.

We?ll see what happens Wednesday.

In related news, Memphis announced the signing of John Welch as an assistant/workout coach.  Welch replaces Bob Staak and Michael Adams, who resigned in May.
