Disaster struck for the New York Knicks at the Boston Pro Summer League when rookie point guard Frankie Williams suffered a broken wrist, the New York Post is reporting.  Williams is expected to miss the entire training camp and the first few weeks of the regular season, which Marc Berman of the Post believes may set the tone for his season.

Williams is set to undergo surgery at Beth Israel Hospital today to repair a non-displaced fracture of the scaphoid in his left wrist on his non-shooting hand.  At best Williams could be back moments before training camp in October, but the Knicks search for a replacement point guard has started.  Travis Best, Troy Hudson and Rod Strickland are all possibilities.
