Marc Berman of the New York Post reports that the Knicks? Latrell Sprewell would love to play for his hometown Milwaukee Bucks. He loves his hometown so much that he named his yacht "Milwaukee?s Best". Sprewell spends his summers in Milwaukee living only a few houses from Bucks? GM Ernie Grunfeld.

The much heralded trade that would have sent Sprewell to the Bucks in exchange for Glenn Robinson fell through when the Knicks balked, then refused to take Robinson after his off-season arrest. The Bucks worked a deal with Atlanta for Toni Kukoc instead.

That deal essentially ended the Bucks? interest in Sprewell. The Bucks-Knicks no longer seem like a trading partner. The Knicks have had interest in Sam Cassell but that leaves the Bucks without a starting point guard. Plus their salaries don't match up. Milwaukee probably wouldn't be high on giving up the younger, bigger Tim Thomas for Sprewell.

So Sprewell's dream of playing for his hometown Bucks appears unrealistic.
