Jason Quick of the Oregon Live writes that Damon Stoudamire, the once promising guard turned walking DNP, is considering talking to team president Bob Whitsitt about his future with the team.  Stoudamire has not been secretive in his desire to be moved from his hometown Blazers, the New York Knicks high on his list of hopeful destinations.

Stoudamire's contract, however, makes the guard almost impossible to trade when his output is taken into consideration.  For this reason Stoudamire said he might explore a contract restructuring to see if that draws the interest of other teams, adding that does not necessarily mean he would take a pay cut.

Update Jason Quick made an appearance on the air through sportsradio 910 theFAN yesterday after the article came out updating the situation.

Stoudamire has decided not to request a meeting after all but expects to re-evaluate the situation at the season's end.  Thanks to the guys at sportsradio 910 theFAN for keeping us up to date.
