Johnny Ludden of the San Antonio Express-News reports: Last night, Jason Kidd played in what might be his new home come next season but didn't give any signs that he would be bolting New Jersey for San Antonio this summer.

Instead, Kidd is focused on the present.

"The focus is on the season and then the summer starts," Kidd said. "Free agency is just starting and we just happen to play the Spurs. You guys have taken it overboard, but we will see what happens."

"I have always loved playing in San Antonio," Kidd said. "I've had some great games here. To see the new arena was a little different than seeing the Alamodome. But nothing really caught my eye."

While he was in town, Kidd met up with his agent Jeffrey Schwartz.

However, Schwartz downplayed the significance of choosing San Antonio as the location for the meeting, saying he and Kidd had "a bunch of things to discuss."

"I'll say what I've said all along, which is that (Kidd) is happy where he is," Schwartz told a small group of reporters at the team's hotel. "He's happy playing for the Nets. He's going to make his final decision once the season is over, but he's happy there. His family is happy there."
